At The Climate Tribe, we’ve been building something new. Literally.
Our new space in MiZa, Abu Dhabi, integrates sustainability into every wall, every surface, and even the floor. So, for World Biodiversity Day and its 2025 theme of harmony with nature, we decided to get creative. Instead of a regular photo this week, we decided to highlight our sustainability initiatives with a unique photo.

Palm trees are a staple across the UAE. Not only do they give us delicious dates, but they also make up a crucial cornerstone of the UAE ecosystem. For this photo, we’ve brought together a palm tree farm with an overlay of Desert Board’s innovative building material.

Made right here in the UAE, and the first of its kind, Desert Board is a regenerated biomaterial made from palm tree biomass, perfect for the walls of The Climate Tribe, MiZa Hub. As you explore our new hub, you’ll see nearly a dozen local UAE sustainable products and materials interwoven throughout. From the textiles and seating areas, to the bespoke lamps hanging in our meeting rooms, we’ve incorporated sustainability into every fibre.
