The word Tsunami brings to the imagination images of deep blue waves, larger than life, fearless and unstoppable. On November 4th marking World Tsunami Day we are reminded that behind this grand scene is a warning. Climate induced rising sea levels are making Tsunami’s even riskier as more water displaced creates higher waves which reach even further inland. It is imperative that we all work together to keep 1.5% alive and reduce our risk of more extreme weather events like Tsunamis.

A Tsunami is a series of extremely long and powerful waves, usually caused by an earthquake below or near the ocean floor. When an earthquake is felt, a tsunami may follow quickly after at times without warning.
