Reading this list, you might have thought we were describing a typical modern household. However, these are characteristics of Physeter Macrocephalus, or sperm whales, an IUCN-vulnerable species., June 8th marks World Ocean’s Day. While the ocean is a mysterious frontier for many humans, let the sperm whale remind you of how we are similar to the many species with which we share our planet. Celebrate the Ocean. Enjoy it. Protect it.
