As back-to-school season begins we are reminded that despite curiosity and a thirst for knowledge being universal human characteristics; opportunity is not universal and many children are left behind.

With this photograph of a little girl looking curiously and calmy at a book juxtaposing her surrounding, The Climate Tribe invites you to turn your curiosity to the education system in your part of the world.

This award-winning photograph is from the eighth season titled, “Hope”, of the Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) Archive. The Climate Tribe has partnered with HIPA, leveraging the power of photography to inspire global awareness of sustainability and advance climate action.
