Have you ever reflected on where your food comes from? In our modern society, we often see the world on our plate with ingredients originating in many different countries. Every vegetable, every piece of fruit, was nurtured by human hands – from seedling to harvest. Hands that picked, packaged and transported the food, hands that prepared each nourishing morsel; food has always been a community effort.
As you mindfully reflect on the hands that feed you, The Climate Tribe encourages you to honour the food you have and waste less.
This award-winning photograph is from the fourth season, “Life in Colour,” of the Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) Archive. The Climate Tribe has partnered with HIPA, leveraging the power of photography to inspire global awareness of sustainability and advance climate action. The first collaboration under this partnership is the COP28 Photography Competition, which is currently in the judging and verification process. Winners to be announced!
