As urban areas expand throughout the world, housing greater human populations and increased pollution, green spaces have become increasingly important. These urban green spaces support carbon sequestration, creating diverse habitats to support biodiversity and our own well-being.

This award-winning photograph was shortlisted in the Solutions Category of the COP28 Photography Competition, a collaboration between The Climate Tribe and the Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA).
