Planting and seasonal harvests are as unique and biodiverse as there are places on the earth. In Vietnam, they plant lush, sprawling flower farms. These stunning plants are traditionally grown on raised racks, which control access to water and are tended to by boat.

What are you planting and seeding at this time of year? Is it autumn bulbs that will live underground until they burst forth next spring? Or perhaps you’re harvesting autumnal roots and vegetables. The Climate Tribe encourages you to get outside and get your hands in the soil. Those in the UAE should join our next mangrove planting event on 30 October at Jubail Mangrove Park.

This award-winning photograph is from the ninth season, “Water”, of the Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) Archive. The Climate Tribe has partnered with HIPA, leveraging the power of photography to inspire global awareness of sustainability and advance climate action.
