Troy Sebastian
Troy Sebastian |nupqu ʔak·ǂam̓ is a writer from the Ktunaxa community of ʔaq̓am. He is a doctoral candidate and a Vanier Scholar in the University of Victoria’s Department of Writing. Troy worked for Ktunaxa Nation in their successful efforts to protect a sacred, grizzly bear habitat known as Qat’muk. Troy has published short fiction, memoir, poetry, and essays throughout Canada. His writing has appeared in Brick, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, The Walrus, The Malahat Review, Event, Prairie Fire, Quill & Quire, and The New Quarterly.
