Mariska is a seasoned sustainability strategist, environmental consultant, and award-winning artist with over a decade of international experience across Australia, South Africa, the UK, India, and the UAE. Specialising in waste management, sustainability strategies, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), and regulatory compliance, she integrates sustainability into business operations to drive impactful change. Mariska’s creative approach to environmental advocacy includes using recycled materials in art, which has been featured in the collections of notable individuals, including Trevor Noah and Adrian Grenier. As the host of Mama Earth Talk, Mariska connects with global thought leaders to inspire action on environmental issues. She is also known for her 2018 experiment in Dubai, where she wore 65 kilograms of trash for 30 days to raise awareness about waste reduction. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Sustainable Design and Environmental Science, Mariska continues to advocate for sustainable living through design, art, and innovative solutions, all while inspiring others to make meaningful environmental changes.
